At Symmetry of Self, we are dedicated to creating real, lasting change for military veterans and first responders through personalized counseling. Every day, more than 17 veterans die by suicide—a staggering reminder of the urgent need for compassionate, informed care. This reality fuels our mission and reinforces our commitment to ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone.

What's In a Name
“Symmetry,” by definition, is the harmonious arrangement of parts—a concept that reflects the balance and integration we help our clients cultivate in their lives. At Symmetry of Self, we believe true well-being comes from aligning mental, emotional, and physical health. This alignment fosters strength, stability, and resilience, much like the symmetry found in nature, art, and life’s most balanced states.

Our name embodies our mission. Life’s challenges can disrupt harmony, leaving us feeling fragmented or unsteady. As therapists, our role is to help clients rediscover balance and empower them to create a life where all parts of the self work together.

The story of our logo adds even deeper meaning. Named after Audie Murphy—one of the most decorated American soldiers of World War II and a tireless advocate for veterans’ mental health—the eagle symbolizes courage, resilience, and the human capacity to heal. Just as the eagle rises, we strive to help clients lift above their struggles and move toward a more balanced future.
